They say, photography at times is really just being at the right place at the right time - true, but it also takes a good eye to discover whats going on, what lays before ones eye that can be captured.

Ms. Valentine proofed it again that she has what it takes when it comes to document her environment and to share it with others who were not around when it happend.

I truly like the fact that this picture was kept in color, to show the contrast of whats on the horizon and what lays beneath the view point. The decission to give the sky the majority of the image area was well chosen to have the mass of the cloud accumulation framed nicely in all its glory but at the same time makes you think how cute and somewhat little it is. The ground still takes up enough space to include reflections of the sky above with a nice choice of having the forest line uneven and so naturally being a divider going across the entire span of the image.

The composition of the fresh green tones as well as the light blue of the sky and the blue grey tones in the cloud show how those clouds, as threatning as them seem are part of the process of what gives us these lush fresh green tones.

The illumination of the cloud through the sun surely adds to make this a plesant view where I would like to just look at it for who knows how long and enjoy it. Dare to say it even has something of a higher power, think halo and all. Like a glimmer of hope. But where was I ...yes, I'd love to view this scenary despite the hard rainfall way in the distant that may come closer to me and eventually get me soaked.

Thank you for capturing this circle of life!
